I began playing with 3d modeling recently after reading an article in Wired magazine about advances in 3d printing technology. I enjoy learning about modeling itself, but I am also excited about using it in the math classes I teach. I have only printed a few models so far, but there are some more in the works. These are the models I have printed so far.
This is an olive oil dipping dish I made for Erin for Valentine’s Day. You fill the dish with olive oil, and then add just enough balsamic vinegar to fill in the heart.
This is an ornament based on the Koch snowflake fractal. There is a story behind this ornament.
